Who we are
Jeff McMillan is an AI executive, advisor, and educator with nearly 30 years of experience across data, analytics, and artificial intelligence.
He most recently served as Head of Firmwide Artificial Intelligence at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for setting AI strategy, governance, and deployment across a global, highly regulated organization. In that role, Jeff oversaw the development and rollout of enterprise AI platforms and decision-support systems used by tens of thousands of employees, and helped guide generative AI initiatives from early experimentation through production—balancing innovation with risk management, regulatory requirements, and organizational trust.
Previously, Jeff was Chief Analytics & Data Officer for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, where he led the design and deployment of the firm’s real-time “Next Best Action” decisioning engine for financial advisors. His work has consistently focused on applying advanced analytics and AI to real business workflows, with accountability for outcomes, controls, and long-term sustainability.
In addition to his industry experience, Jeff is an MBA-level instructor at Columbia University, where he teaches AI strategy and applications for business leaders. He also advises boards, senior executives, and investors on AI strategy, governance, and organizational readiness.
McMillanAI reflects Jeff’s practical approach to the field: helping organizations move beyond experimentation to build AI capabilities that are deliberate, responsible, and durable.
